The service provides the facility for quick transfer of cash for the
corporate and business clients who periodically transfer funds to their field formations
and other authorities or individuals.
It is
operated through computer – Satellite Network and where satellite channel is not
available, is operated through computer-telephone-modem system.
Booking
For
availing this facility, corporate & business client may apply to Chief Postmaster
General, Maharashtra Circle. The following information should be furnished in the
application :-
Name
of Company
Registration
Number of Company.
Station
from which C.M.O. is to be booked.
Stations
to which remittance is to be made.
Approximate
value of remittance/s per month
and appropriate number/s of remittances per month.
On
clearance of application, Corporate Money Order service number (CMS No.) will be
allotted to the client.
PAYMENT
The
Postmaster of the Paying Office will issues a cheque for the amount advised by the office
of Issue in the name of the payee named in the advice. An intimation will be sent to the
payee on telephone followed by confirmation by post to attend the Post Office to collect
the cheque.
