POSTING
IN LETTER BOX
Ordinary mail of
the following categories may be posted in the letter box at
Post Office. Mail Office or any other place, unless
machine-franked for postage.
- Letter
- Letter Card
- Post Card
- Book Packet
- Pattern and Sample Packet
- Blind Literature Packet
Presentation at
Window
The following categories of
ordinary mail should be presented at the counter of the Post
Office or Mail Office.
- Franked mail
- Registered Newspaper
- Unregistered Parcel
- Letter and Book Packet,
Pattern and Sample Packets, and Blind Literature Packet,
that do not admit of being posted in the letter box, because
of the size.
Of them, (i) and (ii) will be accepted
only at designated Post and Mail office, Franked mail, if
posted in letter box, will be treated as unpaid mail and
registered newspaper, if so posted, as Book Packet
containing periodical.
Late Fee
Late fee, as prescribed, is payable
for ordinary mail posted after the notified hour for posting
without late
fee. |
